now the orders page lists our buy order as "filled" at the share price
of $60.20. the total price of the stock is $9,872.80 and adding the $25
service charge, the total order is $9.897.80. this total is subtracted from
the user's cash account and the symbol is added to their portfolio. in some cases the order will be denied. for instance, the user may not have enough cash, or the symbol may not exist. in the case of a sell order, if the user doesn't own at least as much of the symbol that they are trying to sell, the order will be denied. in short, it works like a real brokerage account. let's clock on [ portfolio ] and see the modified standings.
